Veggies

These pictures were taken a few days ago. We were walking down our road and this elderly man called us over. He then started chatting with us (he said he went to war (I forgot which) and had to walk from Malaysia to Singapore), after which he gave us a bunch of veggies, which he planted himself. The veggies tastes slightly spicy. Anyone know what they are?

3rd Kagoshima Asian Youth Arts Festival (the Philippine delegation)

The Youth Arts Festival was all about children and teens from different parts of the world performing on the same stage, so imagine my surprise when I met the Philippine delegation and saw a strikingly beautiful woman introducing herself to me. The Philippine delegation is in fact made up of the top three winning candidates of Miss Davao (from southern Philippines). It worked out really well, though, because I didn't have to feel like a babysitter, and I only had to take care of three people instead of a bunch.

Lunch

Today's lunch was Oyakodon, which is chicken and egg over rice. It was pretty good, but pretty expensive (as most things are in Japan) and kinda small. It does look good on film, doesn't it?

The third picture is that of me and the daughter (probably) of the owner of the restaurant. She's about ten and she's really into helping out at the family restaurant, carrying trays and all. She's really cute~ :D
